Why should golfer read Zen stories?
Without a doubt, these stories contain all sorts of truths about everything for our life.
But they are also witty, entertaining, humorous, and at times puzzling. And they are not just
the secret lessons of monks sequestered away in mountain monasteries.
People interpret each story in very different ways. You may have heard some of these tales
before and believe you know what they "mean." But if you tell these stories to your friends,
and listen to their reactions, I think you'll be amazed at how these tales strike a different chord in everyone.
Why should golfer read Zen stories?
Is it because Zen are offering profound insights into golf and spirituality?... Maybe.
"Tiger Woods studies Buddhism," Butch Harmon says at USA TODAY, "If you look at the religion, there's a tremendous amount of meditation and inner strength."
Golf is a mental game, so Zen is very important for better golf.
